Description: This is a 14-credit hour online continuing education distance-learning course. This course is designed as a tool to instruct Home Inspectors on the topics outlined in F.A.C 61-30 and Florida Statute, Chapter 468, part XV. Specifically, this course relates to the topics of home inspection services and components of a home as well as the inclusions and exclusions of a home inspection for the purpose of providing a written professional opinion on the condition of the home. Component and system topics include: the Structure, Electrical system, HVAC system, Roof covering, Plumbing system, Interior components, Exterior components, and Site conditions that affect the structure of a home. There is also two (2) hours dedicated to training in hurricane mitigation training that includes hurricane mitigation techniques and compliance with the uniform mitigation verification inspection form developed under s. 627.711(2).
